The Cities To Visit In The Czech Republic Besides Prague

The Czech Republic is such a beautiful country with hundreds of cities which are worth a visit. The best thing about the cities in Prague is that they all look like they are copied straight from fairytales. You simply can’t get enough of it. So the next time when you are traveling to the Czech Republic think about visiting more places than just Prague.

Karlovy Vary

I fell in love with Karlovy Vary when I saw this picture for the first time. Karlovy Vary is an amazing city where you can shop like a Czech, explore the history and just wander around.

Český Krumlov

When you are in Prague you can take a day trip to Český Krumlov.. you should to! Český Krumlov is a such a small and romantic town that it is definitely worth a visit!

Olomouc

Brno

Brno is a city in the countryside of The Czech Republic. Beisdes that it is a lovely city to spend your day, there is a lot of amazing nature close to Brno. Think about waterfalls and caves. But you can also rent a bike and explore the countryside of The Czech Republic.

Kutná Hora

Another great and beautiful city with a great view on the countryside of The Czech Republic. But this city has something special (and a little bit creepy): in Kutná Hora there is a church decorated and build (partly) with human bones.

Telc

Because of a lot of beautiful churches, buildings and architecture Telc is a hotspot for a lot of photographers and historical fans. It is a small town but the buildings sure are pretty, you should definitely visit!

I’ll be the first to say I had no idea what there was to see in Czech besides Prague. I really loved Prague so it’s nice to see some other options in the same country. The world is such a big place, I love discovering lesser known areas.

Nice ideas, i’m from the Czech republic, so i know all these cities, but if i can personally recommend something, i would recommend Pilsen, it’s really nice city with stunning cathedral, synagogue, it’s also “beer city”, square with various architecture styles and great culture program – plus it’s European city of culture for year 2015 🙂 and another city i would recommend is Zlín, check photos of it, it has one beautiful thing – hundreds of lovely small houses and it looks so sweet 🙂

I’ve been to Kutna Hora, and Telc, both are very historic and give off that typical Austro-Hungarian/Bohemian vibe that you would feel in the Illusionist. I really like that you’ve written about them, especially since Prague has been done to death!

I totally agree! Went to Cesky Krumlov this summer, loved it! Did you get to enjoy the view of the city from the riverside as well?
