Charming Zadar – Croatia

I never expected to fall in love with Zadar the way I did. However, I fell in love. Deeply. Zadar is one of those cities I wouldn’t mind living myself. And I hardly ever say this.. so that means something. While I’ve talked for 10 minutes about Zadar in a previous city guide (click to see) I never showed you much of the city itself. And while footage of the city says a lot about the place, I definitely like to share the photos I took during my trip as well. After all, a photo says more than a thousand words, and I wouldn’t want to keep them from you.

I miss Zadar, and I wish I had more time in the rest of Croatia. Zadar looked beautiful, warm and welcoming. And if the rest of Croatia looks the same I definitely can say that I fell in love with the entire country. Yeah, I wish I had the time to explore more cities and I wish I had the time to relax on one of the many beautiful beaches that decorate the coast of Croatia and I wish I had more time to wander off through the national parks. If there is anything I know for sure: this wasn’t my last visit to Croatia.

I too love Croatia and have now visited numerous times from Australia where Croatia is so popular. You must visit the islands I early July if you don’t like crowds but still want atmosphere. Google these hidden treasures, the island of Murter and the kornati archipelago, island of Losinj, island of Vis and Stiniva cove, Pucisca and Bol on the island of Brac and the usuals of Hvar and Korcula. Also check out northern Croatia and the istrian region which is stunning. Google Rovinj, Porec, Opatilja and the istrian inland which is like a little Tuscany.
